Pikant designed the summer special issue of the Writers Opening Tomorrow journal, published by the Writers’ Association of Korea, under the theme Flags – A Silent Outcry.This book brings together the writings of 36 flag bearers who took to the square last winter with flags they had made themselves, carrying as many diverse voices as there were colors and shapes of flags. Through hand-drawn flag motifs and a bold, rugged typeface, Pikant sought to capture the vitality that resonated in the streets.
피칸트는 한국작가회의의 기관지 “내일을여는작가”의 여름 특별호 “깃발들- 이것은 소리 없는 아우성”을 디자인했습니다.지난 겨울, 직접 만든 깃발을 들고 광장에 나왔던 36명의 기수들이 쓴 글을 모아 만든 이 책에는 깃발의 색과 모양만큼이나 다양한 목소리들이 담겨있습니다. 피칸트는 손으로 그린 듯한 깃발의 형태와 투박한 듯 힘이 느껴지는 폰트를 통하여 거리에서 느껴졌던 생동감을 담고자 하였습니다.
